It’s my experience that many organisations pay lip service to well-being and talk about valuing their staff whilst really having very little time for them. We want Aspire to be different.

Leading last term’s training session on the theme of ‘Happiness’ was a very deliberate choice, which I hope gave you some clear insights into the importance I place on helping staff to balance their lives. To develop the point further, I want to draw everyone’s attention to the tangible benefits you now enjoy as an employee of Aspire. In a nutshell, we pay into an insurance policy with the SAS [not that SAS!], who respond speedily when you need some help. I’ve attached a leaflet with further details as an appendix to this newsletter, but, in summary, you could potentially access the following services completely free of charge:

  • Health screening
  • 5 sessions of stress counselling
  • 5 sessions of relationship counselling
  • 5 sessions of physiotherapy
  • 12 weeks membership of Slimming World
  • Video consulations with a GP
  • Operations at a local private hospital
