Admissions

Admissions in Aspire MAT

Although admissions processes are currently devolved down to the local governing body (LGB) at each of our academies, the Aspire Multi Academy Trust is its Own Admissions Authority (OAA).  As the OAA, the Trust determines the admission arrangements for all its academies.

It is a requirement of the school admissions code that the OAA publish their arrangements on their website.

Right of Appeal

Under the terms of the School Admissions Appeals Code 2021, if you apply for and are refused a place at an Aspire academy you have the right to appeal.

Admission appeals for Aspire academies are managed by an external body who provide an independent appeals process.  If you decide that you wish to proceed with an appeal, you should, in the first instance, contact the MAT office (office@aspire-mat.co.uk).

The deadline for lodging an appeal for 2025/26 admissions is 20th May 2025.

Appeals Timetable – 2025/26 Admissions Round

  • Offer Date: 16 April 2025
  • Deadline for lodging appeals: 20 May 2025

Appeals will be heard as soon as practicably possible and ideally before the start of the new school year

Note:- Appeals lodged after 20 May 2025 will, where possible, be heard together with those appeals lodged before this date. Where this is not possible, they will be heard as soon as practicably possible and ideally before the start of the new school year.

Appeals are currently being heard remotely and you will be invited into your appeal by telephone.
