May 2021: Archbishop Cranmer going for gold!
Archbishop Cranmer CE Primary Academy has been awarded the Gold Award by the Woodland Trust for their involvement in the Green Tree Schools initiative which gives the opportunity to bring the great outdoors, wildlife and green issues into the classroom.
Tree planting is an incredible way for our children to connect with nature while helping the planet and every child at Archbishop has planted something this term.
Most recently, each year 4 child planted a new tree as part of their pledge to create a new wildlife area, to help clean the air we breathe, and to improve our physical and mental health. We made use of the Woodland Trust’s donations of trees to every school and the children were delighted to know that their trees will become a legacy that future pupils will enjoy.
